Manuscript Guidelines

Original research and reviews in the field of sports sciences are published in the Cappadocia Journal of Sport Sciences and Medicine. The studies submitted to the journal are subject, content, spelling rules, etc. reviewed by the Editorial Board. After the review of the editorial board, it is sent to two referees on the subject to be evaluated later. In line with the opinions of the referees, it is decided to publish or reject the study directly or partially by correcting it. If deemed necessary, it can also be sent to a third referee for evaluation. In order for the studies to be published in the journal, they must be accepted by the referees and the scientific content and figures must be approved by the editors. Studies that are not suitable for publication are rejected. After the evaluations of the referees, the result is sent to the responsible author.

1. The information about the names of the authors and their institutions should not be given in the text.  Author ranking and institution information should be done at the relevant step during the application.

2. The work should be written in Microsoft Word, in "Times New Roman" font.

3. Publication languages are Turkish and English. English abstract is mandatory for Turkish publications. 

4. Sections of the article should be arranged as Abstract, Introduction, Method, Findings and Comment, Conclusion, Discussion and Suggestions, References.

5. The first page of the articles should be prepared as the title page. On this page, the title of the article, its content (scientific article or compilation), the names and surnames of the authors, institutional information, e-mail, the total number of words (excluding the bibliography), the number of summary words, the number of tables and the number of figures are indicated one after the other. Double line spacing is used.

6. Abstract should not exceed 250 words. Turkish and English abstracts should be 9 font size and justified. The abstract should briefly state the purpose, importance, method and main results of the research. The font should be Times New Roman. It should be written in single line spacing. Keywords/Keywords should be used at least 3 and at most 5 words. Keywords should be separated by commas and the first letter of each should be capitalized.

7. All titles of the research (Turkish and English titles should be written in 14 fotn size, bold and all capital letters, main titles should be written in 11 font size, bold and capital letters, sub-headings should be written in 10 font size, bold and the first letters in capital letters.

8. The research text should be in 11 font size, multiple (1.15 line spacing) and justified.

9. Tables and figures should be left-justified and should not go beyond the margins. Tables and figures should be prepared by considering APA 6 criteria. For each table and figure, a title should be created in 11 font size. The title of the table should be placed above the table, the first word should start with a capital letter, followed by a lower case letter and italicized. The font size of the text and numbers in the table should be 10 font size. The font size in the table should be 9 font size if needed. Tables and figures should be cited in the text. If references are used in the figures, they should be stated in parentheses.

10. The bibliography font should be Times New Roman, 10 font size. References to sources should be made in the text between parentheses rather than footnotes. The surname of the author(s) and the year of the source (Akpınar & Beyaz; Mirzeoğlu, 2006) should be included in parentheses, respectively. Multiple references should be separated by semicolons. In citations with three or more author names, "et al." abbreviation should be used. The reference list should be arranged alphabetically according to the surnames of the authors. The accuracy of the sources is the responsibility of the authors.

11. Manuscripts submitted to the Cappadocia Journal of Sport Sciences and Medicine should be prepared in accordance with the APA 6 style, with reference system, tables, figures, footnotes and bibliography.

12. Studies should not exceed 20 pages, including figures and tables.

13. If the study was supported by an institution/organization, prepared from a doctoral/master's thesis or presented in a scientific event and published as a summary, it should be indicated as a footnote at the bottom of the first page with an asterisk. Footnotes font should be Times New Roman 8 font size.

14. No additions or deletions can be made in the works that are decided to be published.
